Please read this policy carefully before using the app. By logging in or continuing to use the service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information only as necessary to provide learning services:

• Account information: username and profile details you provide (such as nickname, avatar, gender, and birthday). You may create an account through in-app registration.
• Learning data: practice records, test scores, level results, study progress, and collections.
• Audio data: voice recordings submitted during speaking exercises, used solely for learning and assessment.
• Service logs and anonymized statistics: access logs and anonymized usage events (such as platform type and OS version) for security, troubleshooting, and product improvement—not for building standalone device profiles.
• Device environment information: for service security, troubleshooting, and compatibility, we may collect non-unique technical information such as device model, OS version, app version, and network type. We do not collect IMEI, IMSI, MEID, MAC address, Android ID, OAID, or other identifiers that can uniquely identify a specific hardware device or user.
• Message notifications: in-app message content related to your account and learning activities.

3. Permissions and Purposes

The following table aligns with common Android/Huawei permission descriptions. Items marked “Not requested” are not declared in our Android package and are not used by our business features:

• (1) Modify or delete photos, media, or files on shared storage — Not requested. Speaking recordings and cache files are stored only in the app private directory; we do not modify or delete your other files on the device storage.
• (2) Phone number, call state, or dialed numbers — Not requested. We do not request READ_PHONE_STATE, do not read IMEI/IMSI, and have force-removed this permission from the Android package.
• (3) Read photos or videos from your device library (Android 13+: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO; Android 14+ may use READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED) — Declared in our Android package. Requested only when you change your avatar and choose “pick from album”. Used only to read the single image you select; we do not scan your entire gallery.
• (4) Take photos and videos (CAMERA) — Requested only when you change your avatar and choose “take photo”. Used only for the avatar you capture.
• (5) Record audio — Requested when you start speaking practice, speaking tests, or device microphone check. Used only for learning and assessment when you actively record.
• Network access: login, content loading, progress sync, and API communication.
• Audio settings: playback for listening exercises.

We do not request phone call, contacts, location, or SMS permissions.

Device environment diagnostics: when you voluntarily use in-app media/device check features, processing occurs locally on your device for immediate display only. We do not upload or persist such diagnostic data on our servers.

You may disable permissions in device settings, but related features may become unavailable.

• Provide, maintain, and improve Chinese learning services.
• Authenticate users and protect account security.
• Record learning progress and generate assessment results.
• Send service-related notifications and messages.
• Troubleshoot errors and ensure system security.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent.
• When required by laws, regulations, or competent authorities.
• With infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the service, under confidentiality obligations.
• In mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring, where the recipient continues to be bound by this policy.

6. Storage and Security

Your information is stored on servers located in the People's Republic of China. We apply encryption, access control, and other reasonable security measures to protect your data.

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

7. Your Rights

• Access and correct your profile in "Mine" > "Profile".
• Withdraw consent for optional permissions (microphone, camera, photo library) in device settings.
• Log out at any time via "Mine" > "Log out".
• Delete your account at any time via "Mine" > "Profile" > "Delete Account", or "Mine" > "Delete Account". Account deletion is permanent.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information stored in this app by contacting us using the details below.

8. Account Notice and Data Deletion

This app provides in-app account registration. You may delete your account directly in the app via "Mine" > "Profile" > "Delete Account". Account deletion permanently removes your account and associated learning data.

You may also request deletion of personal information stored in this app (such as learning records, speaking recordings, or profile data), or assistance regarding your account status, by contacting us at jyli@xyzlab.club or calling 18667122369. After identity verification, we will handle your request within a reasonable period as required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

The service is primarily intended for learners who can understand this policy. If you are a minor, please use the app under the guidance and consent of a guardian.

If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child without verifiable guardian consent, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published in the app and/or on our official page. Material changes will be notified through in-app notices where appropriate.

Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Third-Party SDKs and Services

This app does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app user tracking SDKs (such as IDFA-based ad tracking).

App runtime framework: this app is built with uni-app. We have disabled OAID collection, configured the runtime not to request phone/device identifier permissions, and force-removed READ_PHONE_STATE from the Android package. The framework is not used to collect IMEI or similar identifiers for advertising or tracking.

Usage analytics: we may report anonymized feature usage events (such as page views and learning actions) to our own backend servers for product improvement and security. We do not share such data with external analytics providers.

Account login: the mobile app supports username and password login. New users may register directly in the app.
